December 10th, 1005
This morning the maid woke us up, we have no idea why, but she really had to enter our room to which we obviously were opposed to since we were still sleeping… But then we were awake so we figured we’d go have breakfast. We can see our room from the dining room, and we barely were in the dining room that she was already in there cleaning… Since when do maids in hotels do your room at 7:45am??????????? Hahahahaha
Anyway, it was funny.
Ce matin, la femme de ménage nous a reveille car il fallait absolument qu’elle rentre dans notre chamber, on ne sait pas pourquoi. Comme nous etions reveilles, nous sommes alles prendre le petit dejeune. On peut voir notre chamber depuis la sale a manger, et a peine servi un café et un the, la femme de ménage etait de retout pour faire notre chamber… Depuis quand les femmes de ménage dans les hotels font les chambers a 7:45am?????? Hahahahhaa
Enfin, c’etait marrant.
After that we obviously needed our chocolate fix, so we went to the panaderia and ate our chocolates on the beach before going around looking at things in souvenir shops (shops is a big word, there are a few of stands mostly).
Apres ca nous avions evidemment besoin de notre chocolates, donc nous sommes aller a la panaderia et avons mange nos chocolates sur la plage avant d’aller faire du leche vitrine dans les magazines de souvenirs (magazines est un grand mot car ce sont plutot quelques stands dans la rue).
Around mid morning we met with Leah with whom we went to Buena Vista Beach, next to Samara, but quite at a distance. It was a good photo place but not to swim as there is no reef there to protect from sharks and crocodiles, so we have some good shots. Leah is really funny, she’s super interested in a lot of things!
Aux alentours du milieu du matin nous avons rencontre Leah avec qui nous sommes alles a Playa Buena Vista, a cote de Samara, mais tout de meme assez loin. Un bon endroit pour prendre des photos mais pas pour nager car il n’y a pas de mur de corail pour proteger des requins et crocodiles. Mais nous avons de bonnes photos.
Leah est marrante, elle est interessee par tout!
We then had lunch with Leah with whom we now have to complete a barter agreement because she took us out to lunch in exchange for us helping her setup a blog like ours.
Nous vons mange avec Leah pour le dejeune et elle nous a invite en echange d’aide pour commencer un blog comme le notre.
After that we felt we had been forbidden beach access so we went straight there for a small hour of reading.
Apres ca, on avait l’impression d’avoir ete prive de plage, donc nous y sommes alles pour une petite heure de l’ecture.
Then with Leah and Laurel we went on another little excursion to a marsh about 20 minutes away from Samara where birds who spend their days on the cows (the pet friends we mentioned earlier in out trip) come to and sit “hierachically” on trees there. It’s very funny, they fight a lot and sound like grumpy men or the old guys in the muppet show!
We stayed there for a while, the sounds are just so amazing. We could here the rhythm of the wild life there. Howler monkeys in the background and a lot of crickets, birds, horses mix that was just beautiful!
Puis avec Leah et Laurel nous sommes alles faire une autre petite excursion vers un petit marcage a a peu pres 20 minutes de samara, ou des oiseaux qui passent leurs journees avec les vaches (les copains des vaches que nous avion montre plus tot dans notre voyage) viennent passer la nuit sur des arbres ou ils ont chacun leur place. C’est tres marrant, ils se batten pour des places et ressemblent aux 2 vieux dans le Muppet show!
Nous sommes reste pendant un petit bout de temps, les sons la bas etaient genial. On pouvait entendre le rhythme de la nature la bas. Les singes dans des arbres lointain, et un mélange de croquets, oiseaux, chevaux et autres etaient trop beau!
We came back in the night, found Eric at the beach and Laurel, Eric, Mike and I ended up at Princesa (our “house”) for a beer where we had a lot of fun!
Nous sommes revenu dans la nuit et avons trouve Eric sur la plage. Laurel, Eric, Mike et moi avons fini a Princesa (notre “maison) pour un pot et nous nous sommes bien amuse!
Then on to diner, El Ancla was our choice for the night, really good fish, and good company since Laurel and Eric came along.
Puis nous avons diner a El Ancla avec du tres bon poisson, et de la bonne companie puisque Eric et Laurel ont decide de venir avec nous.
